Q: Are non-Muslims allowed to come to the masjid?

A: Alhamdullilah, of course! Feel free to come in during any of the five prayer times and ask for the imam if you have questions. See the 'Home' page to see the prayer times.

Q: I'm not a Muslim, but I want to visit the masjid. Do I need to wear anything in particular or bring anything? Do I have to wear a head covering (kufi or hijab)?

A: Alhamdullilah, we look forward to your visit and pray that it's a beautiful experience. Wear whatever modest clothing you have in your closet (e.g. long-sleeve, non-transparent, clothing that does not have a face/eyes/other facial features or slang/profanity). Only wear a kufi or hijab if you feel comfortable. The only thing you need to bring is yourself.

A: Alhamdullilah, a beautiful question. Stop by the masjid during any of the five prayer times and ask for the imam so that you may be given sound information.

Q: Are the masjid doors unlocked 24/7?

A: No. The masjid is open 7 days a week during the prayer times. Go to the 'Home' page to see the prayer times for the day you plan to come.

Q: Are children allowed to come to the masjid?

A: Alhamdullilah, of course. We only stress that you monitor your children at all times.

Q: Is there a babysitting service at the masjid?

A: Not at this time. Please be accountable for your children when they attend the masjid and teach them how to conduct themselves in the House of Allah

  • No excessively loud noises during the prayer

  • Clean up behind your children

  • No horseplaying (wrestling, running, throwing, or playing outdoor games inside)

Q: Can I become a member at ICOC?

A: InshaAllah, yes! We are currently in the works of building a membership program so that you may receive exclusive benefits with making your participation more permanent.

Q: Do I need to wear a face mask?

A: Face masks are not required. If you are experiencing any COVID or flu-like symptoms (coughing, sneezing, fever, difficulty breathing, body aches) we strongly advise that you stay home and be considerate of the elderly and immunocompromised members of the community.

Q: Are service animals allowed?

A: SubhanAllah, no. The masjid has a legal right to refute animals of any kind from entering the masjid premises. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) specifically exempts private clubs and places of worship, such as churches, temples, synagogues and mosques from all regulations with regard to service, assistance and emotional support animals.
